The featured song is Always On My Mind. This of course being one of Elvis' most iconic renditions of his later career. On March 29, 1972 was the day Elvis recorded just a few weeks after his separation with his wife and long time lover Priscilla Presley. The song was the B-Side to another melancholy separation song Separate Ways. Elvis' emotion and broken heart is clearly evident in the songs lyrics and this song is heavily related to his relationship with his former wife, they say and even Priscilla has said she has never stopped loving Elvis, how could she, we haven't!

I am so sorry for the very late update. I have a new job that is a full time position and I just don't have the time any more to update this journal weekly like I have done in the past.

So I will be switching from weekly to monthly, so every first week of the month a new journal will be updated with the same format as before, with a featured song and up to date information on The King.

I just wanted to thank all the members here at Elvis-The-King for making this the largest Elvis fan page on DeviantArt with little over 300 members and counting, not to mention all the beautiful artwork you've provided to make the gallery absolutely amazing and expansive in its variety and love for Elvis.

Seeing as I am back and really wanting to kick start this group up again, I want some in-put from you the members on what you'd like to see on the page or in the journals!?

Just comment below with suggestions of any kind, or you can note the group with some of your opinions, do you like the group, the art work/gallery? Do you have anything you'd think would be more helpful to the group as a whole, the suggestion box is open all you have to do is comment!

I can't wait to hear some feedback it would be greatly appreciated! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and TCB everyone!

It's great seeing those quieter moments of Elvis out of the spotlight to remind us that he is just a normal man like all of us.
